Dollish Polish Fat Guy in a Little Coat!

I adore this polish. It is a sparkly sheer beige polish with gorgeous green and blue glitters. I really wish I knew where she got these glitters cause I LOVE them. I used OPI French Quarter For Your Thoughts as my underwear for this mani. You can see in the pics of the OPI polish that I had a couple of bubbles. But it looked fantastic after applying Fat Guy in a Little Coat!

As soon as she listed this polish I knew I had to have it. The color look so interesting but to be honest it was the name that sold me. I am a die hard Chris Farley fan and love the movie Tommy Boy.
I wore this polish for a few days without any chipping. I did have to use two layers of top coat to smooth out the glitter but that isn't an issue. I love how the glitter laid out on my nails. What do you think? You can find Dollish Polish on Etsy!

Pretty and Polished presents; Black Swan

This polish is definitely inspired by Natalie Portman. If you haven't seen the movie Black Swan you are missing out. Its such a well put together film. Black Swan, like the movie is dark and edgy and yet it is quite beautiful and elegant.
This polish is black with the slightest hint of blue and is a full out Holographic. The pictures didn't show this as well but this polish is a wee bit on the "scattered holo" side.

Black Swan will be available in the shop this week.

Pretty & Polished Updates

I will be opening the shop tonight around 8 pm Eastern time. At that time you should see all of my polishes re-stocked in full and mini sizes. There are a few polishes that will be making their last appearance tonight and there will be several added to the "Exclusive" section of the shop. The Exclusive polishes are either discontinued polishes that I will occasionally add to that section until I run out of the supplies to make it OR polishes that I have only made one or two of and will never be made again.

Polishes going out of stock:
Nova
Midnight Masquerade
Johnny Law
Carni

Polishes that will be listed in the exclusive section:
Tart (mini's and 1 full size)
Power House (minis)
Forest Phire (minis)
Aztec Sun (1 mini)
Wine Night Out (1 mini)
Purple Posie (1 Full Size)
Easter Dress (1 Full size)

I know some of you thought Swing was going to go out of stock. That is my fault. I did think I was going to discontinue it but only because I was having some issues with the formula. But it has been fixed and there are no longer any issues. So Swing is staying for now.

Bubble Tea will be one of those polishes that will be gone soon so get it while you can. I will probably only re-stock it 2-3 more times.

I am not taking any more custom requests right now. I am working on setting up a new office and working on a lot of new ways to make packaging and shipping mush more efficient and I can't take on any extra right now. I will let you all know when I can start taking custom requests again. Thank you for understanding!

If you have any questions please email me at: [email protected]

The one, the only, Nail-Venturous Floam!

There really are no words to describe how cool this polish is. Except maybe awesome, neat, super sweet, totally tubular, astonishing, breathtaking, magnificent, wonderful, stunning... I think you get the point. Amy took a simple concept (small neon glitter) and turned it into a polish that EVERYONE wants and EVERYONE should have.
I consider Amy from Nail-Venturous a friend. She is so talented but she is also one of the sweetest people I know. This southern lady has charm that could melt anyone's heart. She recently launched her Etsy store and sold 154 polishes in 5 minutes! It was a feeding frenzy! I am so proud of her though. She has a very long career ahead of her.

Back to the polish! Floam is amazing. And it took only 2 layers to get the look I wanted. This polish has neon blue and neon green matte glitters in a clear base. It is really easy to apply and it is very easy to make smooth. One layer of top coat and you can't feel any texture at all.

Pictures taken without top coat.
(I also took all these pictures with my new camera.)

In case you were wondering were the name Floam came from take a look at this;

St. Patty's Pink and Greens

Last night I finally decided to take some time to myself and paint my nails even though I know they will get ruined quickly with all of my polish making. I have been really drawn to pinks lately, don't ask me why! I chose China Glaze Dance Baby and on top I added Milani Digital which is one of the Milani HD polishes that looks like a scattered glittery holo. Both very pretty together. This morning I realized it was St. Patty's day and felt like I needed a little green on my nails. At first I tried stamping and it was a complete fail so I went with one of my new polishes, Hustle. This polish has a slightly green to gold shimmer tinted base with lots of Green glitters in different sizes and shades, silver glitter, copper glitter, and some white bar glitter. I actually am very pleased with how this mani turned out.

So there you have it. Simple and pretty.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Pretty and Polished Oh Antonio

I have been so busy with orders  have hardly had time to paint my nails let alone photograph them! But today I have some pictures of an LE polish I will be releasing this Friday. The pigments and glitter for this are actually quite hard to find and can be a little pricey so I am only making a few batches.
"Oh Antonio" is a red sparkly polish. I understand red and sparkly has been done a million different ways. But I wanted to make one with my formula and with my name on it. It is a little different from what I am used to offering which is why it is so special to me. You can get the fun glitters I make plus something simple, sophisticated, and with a bit of sex appeal.

Please excuse my dry cuticles. I haven't had a lot of extra time for pampering :(

First picture taken in artificial light and last two were taken in sunlight.

Phoenix got a manicure!

My daughter Phoenix who is 7 years old has really been getting into nail polish. She let me take her for a nice manicure on Friday. This is what it looks like.

Also, I wanted to tell you this; I have decided to allow my daughter to release a nail polish line for children. It is called PJ's Polish for Kids and will be available at my etsy store sometime in the coming week. She has already designed and named 4 polishes, Princess Piggy, Rockstar, Green Garden and Rainbow Sparkle. All of these polishes will be available in mini bottles and are 3 free!

Updates!

So, I know I have been neglecting this web page lately. I am sorry about that. Keeping the shop stocked, the customers happy, and getting packages out twice a week has taken all of my free time. I actually just changed my mani from the last time I posted today. Yes, I had the same polish on for a week. It was driving me INSANE! Right now my nails are naked. I am hoping to get some polish on them tonight and get some pictures taken.

I know most of my new readers are customers at my shop and are ready for some news and updates so I am going to do that for you now!
As you might have seen, the polishes in my shop have been selling really quickly and I have had some issues keeping certain things in stock. I AM in the process of remedying that. Please understand though, I am only one person with two hands, a job, and a family. I don't have any help with this. I love doing it though! My shop is always open and I have polishes available all the time. Some people will work for a certain period of time to bring a bunch of polishes to you at once where as I am trying to re-stock sold out polishes every day. I am very blessed to be able to do that but it does take a lot of my time and a lot of commitment.

Some new things are happening. I have finally found the label I like and am sticking with it. It is simple and clean. All polishes going out of my shop as of now all have the new labels.

Custom orders will be reserved for customers who are paying me to make CUSTOM polishes. Meaning they want me to make a one of a kind polish just for them. I have been completely over run with requests to make listings with 1 or more of my polishes that keep selling out. I cannot do that. I can't possibly make that many custom listings. And if I do it for one person I have to do it for everyone. So as of right now, the custom orders that are scheduled will go up but I will not be making anymore for polishes I sell in the shop. Thank you for understanding.

On the same note, to make things easier for you to get I will be doing full re-stocks on Friday nights. I will try to keep things stocked through out the week but the FULL re-stocks will happen every Friday. That way if you miss things through the week you know to watch for it on Friday.

Adding to your previous orders: I have no issues sending more than one purchase out in the same package. However, unless you contact me directly about sending your purchases together I cannot always catch multiple purchases before I start packaging and shipping. If you make multiple purchases I can no longer refund shipping costs that you acquire. This happens too often for me to be able to keep up with it. I am trying my hardest to get all the polishes you want back in stock so I cannot be held liable for you making double/triple/etc purchases because you are trying to get every polish you want. I am so sorry for this but I AM trying to run a business and keep everyone somewhat happy while doing it.

Now some fun stuff! I will be adding some new polishes to the shop over the next few weeks. I have a ton of really great stuff to share with you. I am going to try to release most if not all of them at once so you are not placing multiple orders trying to snag all of them. A couple nail polishes I am really excited about are the ones that are inspired by Tokyo! I am really happy with them and hope you will enjoy them as well!

I am phasing a few polishes out of the shop too at this time. Ornament Smash will return in winter. Cyber Kick, Forest Phire, Power House, Born Again, and Tart will be leaving the shop for a while. I might have a few bottles of these here and there as I run out of stock for them. They MAY be back in the future. If you missed out on the Tattoo Sparkle Collection I AM taking requests for those polishes. They are an exception to the "Custom Order Rule".

Some recently released polishes to look for in the shop:
Beach Bum
Beach Bunny
The Amazing Technicolor Topcoat (an epic ever changing glitter topcoat)
Basket Grass
Boy Crazy
Midnight Masquerade

Oh, and did I mention... Forgery is back in stock!!

Pretty and Polished - Basket Grass and Boy Crazy!

Hello everyone! I am so sorry for my absence. I have been incredibly busy trying to keep my shop stocked. I can't even begin to tell you how much hard work and time goes into making all these polishes. It is very time consuming, plus I test every batch to make sure it is exactly how I want it. Whew! Anyways, I have been working on some fun new polishes and I am ready to show them off! I will be posting about a few of the new polishes today. This post is for my two fun spring polishes. One is geared more towards Easter fun and the other is all about new Spring love!

Basket Grass is my interpretation of that annoying and messy Easter Grass people put inside Easter Baskets. I started making Easter baskets for my kids early this year and decided against the Grass. It made me want to do something else so I whipped up a polish that to me looks like Easter Grass and am going to put a bottle of it in my Daughter's basket. Should make up for the lack of messy stringy stuff right? It has tiny bits of iridescent glitters as well as green, pink, and blue bar glitter! The base has a very subtle blue tint.

Boy Crazy is a fun glitter packed top coat. It has large pieces of glitters in different shapes and fun spring colors,. You can find Large Blue hex, medium purple hex, medium pink diamonds, and blue hearts! The base has a very subtle purple tint.

Mani pictures taken with one layer of China Glaze For Audrey as my base, 2 layers of Basket Grass, and 2 layers of Boy Crazy (on my ring finger).

Boy Crazy and Basket Grass are both available at my Etsy shop in mini bottles. They will both be available in Full Size bottles by the end of the day.
