OPI Muppets Pepe's Purple Passion and Excuse Moi!

My favorite salon got the whole Muppets collection and I chose several for myself. These were the two that really stood out to me. I love them! It was really hard to get good pictures of Pepe's Purple Passion. It is a gorgeous shade of berry with lots of small glitter pieces. The color of the polish is a little dark so it kind of swallows the look of the glitter. It also has a bit of a rough texture so you need one or two good layers of top coat if you don't like feeling it. In these pictures you can actually see the texture because I took them without a top coat on. When I first put this on it was really thick so I added a few drops of thinner. It really helped. It only took one coat for full opacity too. So despite all the "issues" with Pepe's Purple Passion I still really like it.
Excuse Moi! is, in my opinion, the best glitter from this collection. Instead of a clear base it has a slight pink color to it. There is a ton of different sized glitter in two shades of pink, as well as yellow, blue, green, orange, and silver glitter packed into this bottle.

Unforgettable Moments Sparkling Turquoise

I heard recently that Payless Shoe Source sells these awesome polishes called Brash. So I stopped by today and picked one up. But I also grabbed this gem right here. The brand is called Unforgettable Moments and they cost $2.99 like the Brash polishes. This particular polish was on sale for $1.99. This one is called Sparkling Turquoise and it is gorgeous!

And here I added a little bit of Funky Fingers Baby Baby Baby to brighten it up a bit. And I also did a coat of Seche Vite top coat. It gave the polish a little extra shine.

China Glaze Tickle My Triangle!

I love this polish. It is a gorgeous pink with amazing holo goodness! It is one of my favorites from the Kaleidoscope Collection. How About A Tumble is the lighter pink polish from this collection and it is my favorite. Tickle My Triangle is a brighter and darker pink. Both are scattered Holos.

Did you catch my little glitter herpes on my ring finger?
I didn't see it until after I took these pictures!

Who wants some Kaleidoscopes and OMG polishes?

Well I found a box full of them! They are going up for sale on my sale tab.

Fun Halloween Mani

My intentions when I started this mani were to do a Jack'o'lantern but I decided to go with this when I did it on one nail as an accent nail and loved it. I used China Glaze Breakin (orange), My franken Galax-E (black glitter), and Studio M Magic Attraction for a little more pop of glitter. I then took pics of it without a top coat and with a matte top coat from Boots no. 7.

Emilee's Polish: Labor Of Love

This is my newest franken. I made it for my soon to be sister-in-law, Emilee. She is
awesome and I love her! She likes really dark vampy colors. Her favorite polish is
Lincoln Park After Dark. So I decided to make her a polish. This is a blackened blue
with blue to green color changing pigment. I love the way it came out.
I named it Labor Of Love because her name means rival, laborious, eager. So I took
labor from that and love because I made it out of love.  Corny? Maybe :)

This is what it looks like with the green sparkle. Beautiful, no?

The blue was a bit harder to pick up. In this picture you
can see the blue of the polish and the blue sparkle.

Here you can see a mix of blue and green.

And here I added a little nail art to make it happy!

Go Purple in support of Spirit Day and our LGBT youth!

Hello lovelies. Again, I am so sorry for spotty posts this month, this new job is kicking
my toosh. Anyways, today is "Spirit Day". This was started in 2010 in remembrance
of all the young people who have taken their own lives because of bullying about their
sexual orientation. I do not expect you all to support this day, but it is something that
is very important to me. My little brother is gay and I am so lucky that he is still in my life. People can be cruel and I seen it first hand. I am very active in human rights especially
those directly involved with the LGBT community. So this post is for them.
For more info on Spirit Day please visit the glaad website.

A personal message from me: Hang in there. You might not have a lot of support where you are right now but it DOES GET BETTER. There is a whole world outside of that city you live in. There are so many of us out here waiting to show you that you can be loved too. Don't give up, please. It breaks my heart that so many people think they are alone. You will find happiness

I started the day thinking I would use 10 different colors of purple to show that there are a wide array of colors just like there are a wide array of people. But then I decided to go with one of my all time favorite purples. This is a franken called Rebecca Likes Cupcakes made by a beautiful blogger at Rebecca Likes Nails. It is a gorgeous shade of light purple and has multicolored hex glitter in it. The glitter to me represents all the different kinds of people all living in the same world. They are different colors and sizes but they all work perfectly together to make this polish beautiful.

Color Club Vintage Couture and Pink Glitter!

I love the color of Vintage Couture but the formula is horrible. It is one of the streakiest formulas I have EVER worked with. I had to use 3 layers and it still looked streaky. The pink glitter makes the streaks not as noticeable. A friend of mine said my nails look like something out of the 50's lol! I have to say I kind of agree. I really like the way they turned out.

Don't forget to enter my giveaway if you have not already! Donate any amount to any breast cancer awareness/research fund of your choice and email me with a confirmation to Prettynlacquer @gmail.com. You can be entered up to 10 times depending on how much you donate. To see the prizes please check my blog. Thanks everyone!
